Join us for a screening of “John Lewis: Get in the Way” followed by a discussion. The first major documentary of the civil rights leader, “John Lewis: Get in the Way” follows his 57 years of championing the civil rights movement. Born in Alabama’s Black Belt, his early life in the segregated south set him on the path of civil rights. From the March on Washington to Selma and back, you’ll view 20 years of never seen before interviews, where he retells the stories behind the movement. Registration is required. A Zoom link to this online event will be emailed to you after registration is complete. This program is a collaboration with the Northern Lancaster Hub. Funding has been provided by the Pennsylvania Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020. Ages 12+.
