About the film

Follow the Colorado River, source to sea, on a soul searching, personal journey downstream to focus on the "American Nile." In Chasing Water, photojournalist and Colorado native Pete McBride (Into The Canyon) takes viewers on a 1,500 mile adventure downstream—from mountains and cities, through canyons, and across shrinking reservoirs—investigating what becomes of the Colorado River's most precious resource as it flows to the sea, supporting 40 million people in the American West along the way.
